During the use of micro motors, there are many issues that need to be noted. Below, the editor will bring you several points to pay attention to when replacing the brushes of micro motors.
After the electric brush of the micro motor wears out, it should be replaced according to the manufacturer's regulations. When replacing some of the brushes, it is necessary to ensure that the brush grades of the entire micro motor are consistent. Because if the brush grades are different, it will cause uneven distribution of current between each brush. If it is not possible to match the same brand of brushes as the original one, all brushes of the entire machine need to be replaced. After replacing the micro motor brush, be sure to grind the contact surface between the brush and the collector ring with 00 grit glass sandpaper instead of using diamond cloth, as it may fall into the gaps between the commutator segments and damage the brush and collector ring. After grinding, blow it clean with compressed air. The pressure of the electric brush can be adjusted by the spring on the brush holder. The difference in pressure between each electric brush should not exceed ± 10%, and the pressure can be measured using a spring scale, preferably between 20-25kPa. If a micro motor needs to replace more than half of its brushes at once, it is best to run it at light load for more than 12 hours to ensure a good fit between the brushes and the collector ring before running it at full load.
